is this a personal or work network? If work, it may be that the device is not authorized to the wireless network. Check with your network admin.

This is a private network. It goes from a wireless router (connected to the internet by a Comcast cable) to a USB wireless adapter plugged into my PC.

We have no way to know how to connect to your local router, especially if you tell us that you're using the correct authentication values. Your best direction is probably to ask the Comcast Support group for help. It's also possible that there is a Support Community forum for your tablet, and someone there has seen a similar problem. -- Tom

Did u turn on the MAC address filtering in wireless router ! It happens when that is forgotten.... next when u setting the router, it is important that what kind of security u have set up, Normally it is WEP/ WPA, this is because if security on the tablet,  doesn't match what u have set in the router, you will get the authentication error. In this router, if u set it for wpa & didn't provide pass the router will an issue. Hope, this info a little will help u.
