    Welcome to ITKE, domino1234! Are you getting some type of error when you try to connect? I would also make sure that your modem / router is also working properly too.

    Check wi-fi on during sleep settings. Remember, whenever you keep remain in one location for a while, other than mobile data network, network of wi-fi signal has a limited range. If it is too far, the tablet loses signal & is disconnected.

    Check the below steps to troubleshoot your table wi-fi device

    1.Check wireless connection is working fine by connecting other devices to the same network.
    2.Check your Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep Settings.
    Settings ->Wi-Fi ->Advanced -> Check [Always] to keep the Wi-Fi on during sleep.
    3.Check signal strength of wireless connection.
    4.Try to turn off and ON Wi-Fi on the device.
    5.Try to forget network on the device.
    Settings -> Wi-Fi ->Press & hold your[Net Work Name(SSID)]for 2 seconds ->Select[Forget Network] ->Re-Connect your wireless networks if it’s disconnected.
    6.Try to reboot your device.
    7.Make sure your firmware is up-to-date.
    Select Settings  -> About tablet -> System Firmware Update -> Check Update.
    8.Try to reset your device.

    Big question, is the hot spot open or locked down?  Do you have permission to access it?  If it is open, it should show on your wireless screen and see if there is a lock or not.
