What are the advantages(4) and disadvantages (4) of a systems analyst who is from within an organisation that is developing the new system?

An analyst from within the organization would be a benefit with regard to the current system architecture and would have knowledge of the business which an outside analyst would not have going in.
A disadvantage would be possible reluctance to change from known systems.
