Sysplex Split
Mainframe, Tape Backups, Sysplex, DASD, Plex
Does anyone have experience with splitting a sysplex with isolated dasd and tape on each new plex? How do you move tape data between the new plexes efficiently? The only methods we are aware of are very awkward at best, e.g. copy tape to dasd, ftp dasd file to other plex, copy back to tape. I know someone out there has invented this wheel before and I would appreciate your suggestions and input.
