    Welcome to ITKE, swarupa! From what I could figure out, I believe this file has something to do with a VM swap file location. You're best option is to do a reboot cycle and clear them out.

    These sysSwap-hls -xxx.swp files are left over files after storage vmotion from one datastore to another datastore, when tried to delete it throws an error :  cannot delete file [old datastore name] sysswap-hls-xxxx.swp

    Usually VMware swap files will have the file extension as .vswp and i was able to delete those files.
