I have Symantic Ghost Corporate Ed., Ver 8.0. I am trying to create a (single) bootable cd that I can use for a Dell Latitude D600. I need to boot this to our system to attach in order to recieve an image from the server file to this laptop and also to push an image to the server file. I had no luck. I can only get floppies to work and at that Ghost wants to create 2 disks. Also as background info this is running from Microsoft 2000 server and the desktop are XP Pro. If any one can assist I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

First off I would check with symantec and see if version 8.0 works on xp. second issue are you using an internal or external cd burner? What I do is create a image and then sysprep it. I boot the pc with a internal cd-burner using a ghost floppy disk. I choose to image and then point to my cd-burner from the drop down menu. It should ask if you want to make the cd bootable. If you want to leave the floppy disk in and it will copy the boot files off of it. This is what I do. Hope it helps.

I regularly use Ghost Corprarte ed. 7.5. but I don't understand the question. Are you saying that you want to use a boot CD instead of bootable floppys to create an image of the laptop?
