    Yes, if you are using purchased services and the licenses do not have provisions for transfers to other systems. -- Tom

    In answer to your question, yes.  If you purchased your licenses for the software for  your PC, the licenses are usually not transferable to your laptop.  That is not always true though.  Symantec's AV / Antimalware license is transferable to another machine if your are getting rid of old machine.  Microsoft's licenses are not usually transferable to a new machine, except on a Enterprise Level where you bought a number of licenses to use the software on Multiple Machines.  Then it is Transferable.  You can take it off one Machine and place it on another.  You will need to read the EULA that came with the software.  In most cases it does not allow the transfer from an old machine to a new one and the companies keep track of that when you register the software with them.  Part of the registration process is the transfer of the machine name to along with your information.
