Summing shared data from a subreport
I have a report where I want to sum the value of a group. To get the correct number I first need to sum the multiple receipts and subtract the total receipts from the quantity required. This gives me the correct value which I multiple to the unit price. I have the correct unit price for each line, but I can't sum the lines to get a group total. My first thought was that the receipt summary was taking place after the group summary, so I created a subreport and shared the value with the main report. I know the shared value is a number becuse I am successfully subtracting it from the quantiy required. I also know that the receipt summary is occuring before the group summary because I wouldn't get a shared value if it wasn't. I get the same results (max, min, etc.) when trying to sum the group. It appears that the report is not allowing me to sum a number that uses a sum in a previous calculation.
