For the pop-up, you should ignore it. If you study the START command (and other DOS functions), you can learn ways to reduce the extra activity. But you should not eliminate it.

What you&#039;re asking for is a way for an AS/400 programmer to cause programs to run on a user&#039;s PC under the user&#039;s authority without anyone (but you) to know it&#039;s happening. The PC is going to resist that. It&#039;s a highly insecure function.

Describing how it might be done in a public forum might not be a good idea.
