 Store VSAM data in GDG
CICS, GDG, VSAM
My specifics are: Initially VSAM was there in CICS, and now my client wants to remove the VSAM files. So I need to create a sequential file in CICS and need to store the data in a GDG. Is this possible and could you please suggest how can I achieve it?

CICS cannot read sequential or GDG files. There may be some other options. Can you provide more details? Like: why you want to move away from VSAM; can you migrate to a database? You can store the VSAM data in GDG files but then it cannot be read by CICS.
