 Storage for Enterprise Vault
Backup, Enterprise Vault, NetBackup, Symantec, Symantec Backup Exec
Hello,

Could somebody please suggest a suitable storage system for our Enterprise Vault project. The total storage we are looking is around 100TB. We are using Symantec's Netbackup as the Backup software. Fibre channel will be the preferred choce.

we are using HDS AMS2500. dense trays can hold 48 2TB sata disks we uses smaller sas disks. there are new 24x600GB SAS disks that fit into small foot print (2U). in general, these are rock solid modular arrays. (2 controllers, stack of shelves)

for other lower cost enterprise class arrays, you may consider EMC VNX with SATA drives.
for less expensive disks, you can check out NEXSAN.
