Try following the steps outlined here:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;156669

to troubleshoot the 0xC000021a error... I think that some of the other respondents were on the mark when they stated that it sounds like a driver/program incompatibility issue.

Some of the procedures discussed in the MSFT article involve crash dump analysis using drwatson; I have had better luck using the symbols program insluded on the resource disk to analyse a dumpfile, but that's just me....

Hmmm..sounds like a driver problem, or pehaps a recenlty-nstalled application that is conflicting with your Windows program (since the last configuration works fine). My advice is to go back to the last configuration and look at what was installed after this dat that might be causing the probem. If you did indeed install an application, then go to the vendor's Web site and search if there are any known problems asociated with your Windows version and any available patches. Do the same search at the Microsoft support site. If you have not installed any apps, then I would suspect that you purposefully or inadvertently deleted a progams without going through the proper steps (which may have erased a bit of Windows code as well), or you have a virus kickinbg around in there somewhere. Again, check what you did after the last good config, and run a virus check. You may also want to go to the America Online Web site and download the computer checkup software (if you a re a member, that is!).

Are you running PCAnywhere by chance? What version?

There is a version of PCAnywhere (9.0 I believe) that will cause the Windows WINLOGON service to terminate.

What's 'Offline Course player'? Doesn't sound like it should be on a server. You need to isolate out everything that's starting up at Windows and work your way through each one. Or perform some kind of repair. Or turn boot logging on and look at what's being loaded at the point it crashes. Is your machine definitely clear of viruses and malware? Lots of trojans about at the moment.

Yeah, the ERD will help if it's current. Boot off the Windows cd and select ASR at the start. Are their any other clues in the event log or in your actions (installed a new driver for the video card, perhaps?). What entries are in the registry for HLKM or HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrent ConfigRun? Do they look suspicious? A quick look on the net suggests a user process for this error.
