Statistical significance and CIs for Population Survey
Hi, I have a data set that is generated from a population survey of a licensed profession in the state. I have a 63% response rate. I am generating demographics (age, gender, race, degree level distributions) and descriptives for age, hours worked etc. How do I generate CIs and statistical significance of these distributions and descriptives to 100% of the population? Can I just weight the cases using (100/63) and not report CIs and statistical significance? These concepts are always talked about in sample survey context. How do I apply them to a population survey with 63% response rate? Does SPSS have a special setting, function or way to do this? Or should I be looking at the data differently. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
