If so, does it remain stable or will it power off or reboot on its’ own? If the system will not boot or it is unstable, you may have a hardware issue (this sounds a bit like the issues experienced with the IBM NetVista’s and the Dell Gx260′s a couple of years ago).

If the prescription above lets you get the chance to enter that dialogue, you should uncheck the option for automatic reboot on system error – which I think may be part of your problem.
