Starting with ERP training based on product development experience
I am an automotive engineer. Over the course of 7+ years working at an OEM and tier 1 companies I have developed core skills in new vehicle plaform vehicle development. Experience includes delivering vehicle engineering attributes to targets by high level of interaction with cross functional teams such as engineering, manufacturing, marketing and energy management teams. Will SAP PLM training contribute to my core skills and improve my competitive advantage in job market? I have no experience with ERP software currently. Please advise.

Is SAP PLM what your firm currently uses? If so, this will be a good investment. However, if you receive training in a technology you won’t be using regularly the learning will not stick. It’s definitely a “use it or lose it” situation.
