Starting career in SAP from Microsft Tech (.NET)
My name is Srikanth I am from UK. I am planning to move towards SAP. My background is in Microsoft Tech (VB6, ASP, ASP.Net, C#, VB.Net, SQL Server, Databases, Web services and Portals) with 9Yrs of experience and purely application development and programming. Recently I have been thinking of moving my career towards SAP. I don't know where to start on SAP or the module best for my background and experience. Friends tells me that I need to choose a module (HR,FICO, other modules etc) and I need have some background experience in the module I choose. Is this correct? I am now 37 and I cannot afford to be without job for long time. Can you please put me in right direction in moving towards SAP? I want to learn and start applying for jobs so I am not left out without a job for massive time. With Microsoft Tech background , 9 Yrs of experience in developing portals , applications and no prior knowledge of SAP where do I start or what to choose in SAP ? Please help or advice.

Answer Wiki:
Hi, It's good that u r interested in SAP but u have to start it from the scratch. So it will take time. You have the experience of 9 years in .net therefore it is my suggestion that u should stick to .net. Rest is ur choice. Bye.
