I have a CL program having the following RUNSQLSTM

RUNSQLSTM  SRCFILE(AMBDEV/MSRCAMB) SRCMBR(AMBJARRVK)            COMMIT(*NONE)

AMBJARRVK is a SQL member file in MSRCAMB source file having this SQL statment

DELETE FROM GDPF WHERE GDUSID = 'A365' AND GDOID = 'JAR'

I am receiving SQL9010 error when running the CL program... Any hint on where is the problem?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

There are a few things to try.
First, do a STRSQL and then copy & paste that instruction to see if it works. If there is a syntax error it will tell you what it is.
Second, If you file is not being journaled, you need to add COMMIT(*NC)
Third, be sure you are not in DEBUG mode running over a *PROD library,

Any hint on where is the problem? Please show us the spooled output from the RUNSQLSTM failure. The job that ran the RUNSQLSTM command should have a spooled file named AMBJARRVK that describes the processing of the RUNSQLSTM command. The error description should be included there. Tom

as per ur information you entered the Sql statement as DELETE FROM GDPF WHERE GDUSID = 'A365' AND GDOID = 'JAR' I think you should give library name also ,hence the statement should be DELETE FROM lib_name/GDPF WHERE GDUSID = 'A365' AND GDOID = 'JAR' Try this ...thanks
