SQL server STD 05 between Sites
besides buying Enterprise($$$$$.$$), how else can I keep these servers (sych'd, mirrored, ???) via a network link between cities?

With SQL Server 2005 you can use Database Mirroring if that is what you are looking for. You do not have the ability for Snapshotting and Parallel Redo but the basic features are available to you. Check out this link for more information.
