SQL Server user name issue
We have a server in which Windows 2003 is installed and we have created users in the domain (e.g. - aaa). The server is installed with SQL Server 2000 and data is stored in the database. The user name for the server is “administrator.”

When we login from the user computer with the same name and password as the server, we are able to see the SQL Server running with the server database. When we login from the user computer with the user account as "aaa," however, the SQL Server is not running with the server name. How can we solve this problem?

Answer Wiki:
What is the exact error message that you are getting? You probably just need to add the Windows user aaa as a login into the SQL Server.
