hi I have 2 questtion: 1-After I installed the sql server 2005 enterprise on my server there isn't the sql management program in the program list of sql serevr 2005!!!!!!???? so I should installed the developer version of sql server 2005 on my winxp cleint and connect to server and work with sql server!!! 2-when I wana do a small task on my first sql I should connect to server from the xp client and after that I got this error message: cannot show requested dialog. Additional information: Unable to execute requested command. "failed to connect to server w2kserver3kepco.(Microsoft.sqlserver.connectioninfo) A connection was successfully stablished with the server,but then an error ocurred during pre-login handshake.(provider:ssl provider,error:0-The message or signature supplied for verification has been altered)(Microsoft SqlServer)" My server is w2k server sp4. Could you please help me!!!!??? Thank you. ---- Regards Mahnaz

1. SQL does not install the client tools by default. If you have to have the tools installed on your server you’ll need to run through the installer again and install the client tools. On the page with the list of services the last one on the list is the client tools. It is common practice to not install the client tools on the server, and to only install them on your workstation and then to manage the server from your workstation.

2. Are you able to connect from any other machines? Have you installed SQL 2005 SP2 on both the server and your workstation? How about any of the other hot fixes? What information is logged in the ERRORLOG?
