Strange one. I have a user that created a database file using WRKQRY. In this file is a user defined result field. Its basically a text label stating the build level  'LVL01'. After all levels are run (11 total) the file is complete. I am trying to access this data using a .NET program and a iDB2 connection. I have a window where the user keys in the SQL to get the data. It's using a data reader to build a grid view and returns all columns from the file but this one containing the build level. Running this SQL "select * from buildfile" in the window fails but log on to the i-Series where the file is located and STRSQL and enter the same command it shows all columns??

Software/Hardware used:
SQL server , i-Series
