 Sonicwall vs watchguard
I saw one other question like this that was posted back in 2006 so I'm going to ask for more current thoughts. We are at the point where it will cost less to get a new UTM firewall with years subscription than it would to renew the non-UTM license on our sidewinder g2. I was wondering what peoples thoughts were about either sonicwall or watchguard firewalls. Specifically the NSA 5000 or x6500e? I've seen a lot of complaints and good things about both.

Juniper Network’s line of firewall products are worth looking into also. I personally prefer Juniper over Sonicwall and Watchguard.

I have clients that use all three of these. I’m familiar with the SonicWall and Juniper interfaces and like them for the most part. Some of the technical admins I know swear by Watchguard. It may end up being a personal preference for you…see if you can try before you buy.
