Are you looking for a school to attend in person or would a training facility or online solution work?

I am open to any of the areas. I work full time, so online may work best. However I am concerned if it is a good idea for me to study online, especially with no real knowledge of the field. If I could find a school that would be able to work around my schedule that would be great, I would really like to have hands on training.

Check out Global Knowledge. There may be some online training options as well depending on what you’re looking for. Anything in specific?

Honestly I don’t know all that much about the industry. I need to investigate it more the make my decision. Are there alot of different areas to software testing?

There are indeed: overall QA, functional, usability, and the one that gets overlooked all too often: security. Spend some time reading through the content at and you’ll be able to get a feel for the different areas. The articles/webcasts/podcasts I link to on my site may be worth checking out as well.
Hope this helps!
