Hi,

I would like to know how the AS/400 determine what time to use when a message is sent out from AS/400.

In my example the Sent time on exchange server display [strong]2:47 PM[/strong] but the actual time when the message was sent out from the AS/400 was [strong]19:47:07

Software/Hardware used:
AS/400

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Probavbly using the Universal Coordinated Time. Check System Value below. If it shows 00:00 then you are using reenwich time. Here on east coast of US we are at -05:00

QUTCOFFSET
Coordinated universal time offset </b>

===========================================================

And note that you can’t change QUTCOFFSET directly in any recent release of the OS. The system will change QUTCOFFSET after you set QTIMZON correctly. And before attempting to change QTIMZON directly, you should first try the WRKTIMZON command. Study it and learn what it does.

Of course, you haven’t yet told us anything about your system; so it’s mostly guesswork. It’d be nice to have at least a hint about what your OS version/release is.

Tom
