Hi I want some of my outlook express clients' mails to be relayed through my Domino server with user/password authentication (with TCP/IP protocol). I am using Server document and haven't tried Internet Site document yet. What step for configurations should i take to accomplish the task? Thanks Main

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I think you have to configure it at your STMP server. All SMTP servers allow outgoing messages to relay over another SMTP server, put the IP or server name of your Domino server there.

Hi Man, Since there is not enough information, below is what I can suggest. I assume your Domino server is a SMTP gateway to the Internet. The relay setting is under "Configuration" document (under "Router/SMTP" tab -> "Restrictions and Controls" tab). This can limit who can relay mails using this server. For those allow to relay mails, Domino server won't authenticate them anymore (authentication should be done when accessing their mailboxes). HOH Dick

In order to configure mail to pass via Exchange to pass mail to a domino mail domain you will need to configure the following: ON DOMINO SERVER Domain Document Forien Domain Document (out bound mail) ON EXCHANGE Server Notes Connector You will also need to configure a MX record on your DNS server that points to the Domino domain. Hope that helps.
