I have two webservers which have network load balance set up them to balance requests for all our corporate websites. This works fine until a visitor uses the site to send us an email. For some reason the second of the two web servers cannot send the mail, get an error saying "The remote server did not respond to a connection attempt"
The two webservers are set up identical, the websites on them are exact copies of each other. I have checked the SMTP settings within IIS and they appear to be exactly the same. Obviously the web sites always have the same IP no matter which server serves the page.
Does anyone have any idea why the 2nd of the webservers cannot send mail?
