I work as a IT Tech within a school environment, im running windows server 2008 r2 with windows 7 proffesional clients
unfortunitly our keyboards in school have the dreaded "sleep" button on them to put the machine to sleep. which is annoying i have checked on the physical machine i can stop this using the advanced settings in power options, but with the amount of computers this would be physically draining, so there must be a way of setting this in gpo
when i goto the gpo on the server
Computer > Control Panel Settings > Power Options
if i goto the power buttons and lid option the "Sleep Button Action" option is not available in the list.
there must be a way of disabling this button on the keyboard through out school wether it be a registry edit or a gpo ???
can some one help me before these kids drive me nuts lol
Software/Hardware used: server 2008 r2, windows 7 profesional
