I don't believe there is anything really different about the offering from Sky over any of the other service providers in the UK (and I presume you are in the UK ? as I don't think they operate anywhere else).

Most offer similar deals if you look at them, such as free evening phone calls, and wireless routers. Strip away the marketing hype, and they are all much the same.

I don't have a phone line from BT, so I went with NTL/Virgin Media. It suits me, and I think the price is good for the service (£25 for phone, TV basic package and 10Mbps Internet). If you know someone who has this already, and you want to subscribe yourself, get them to recommend you, and the rebate you get offsets the installation charge, and they get a bonus as well.

Sky, introduces special offers, discounts and deals at regular intervals which could work out in your favor most of the time. At certain times Sky also waives off installation fees too, so do keep updated on the same. In general, Sky does provide a free wireless router which is capable of connecting at least four computers through Ethernet cables while many more can also be connected wirelessly as well.
