What is the command to enable show ip arp | in [strong]IP Adress [/strong]OR [strong]Mac Address[/strong]  so that i can trace IP Addresses running on my switches

In some switches i am able to trace ip addresses running in the swtich through the command show ip arp but in other switches i am not able to trace out ip addresses with the same command. So my question is how do i enable show ip arp command in L2 enviornment.
