Should we modify our swap file on our Windows 2003 servers? I was told way back when to double the ram and use that size for your swap file. Is this still true today? Should we let Windows manage it for us?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Up to a point 2 times the RAM will be fine. When you get into larger systems you can’t set the swap file that large. When you have 1TB of RAM, a 2 TB swap file isn’t going to be useful.
