What is the maximum length that can be entered for a short name in Lotus Notes? I haven't found anything on the internet on this. Thanks.

I’m not sure what you mean with short name because this is not a Notes fieldtype. The limitation depends on your Notes/Domino Version. Information abaut it can be found in the Domino Designer Help for example in Notes6 a Textfield has a maximum size of 32KB in Notes5 only 15KB so look in the Domino Designer Help for more information
