Sharing windows

An IT technician downloaded software on my computer at work. After he left, I noticed my desktop was being shared with him. When I asked why, he said he was not aware of this, that it must have happened when he logged in on my computer because he has administrator rights. When I went to remove him from my desktop, I couldn't because he shared my whole Windows profile. He removed the sharing, but I want to know, is it true? Could it have happened automatically?

Without knowing what was installed (and possibly how), it's hard to be sure. The answer has to be "Yes, it's possible." But that's a long way from saying that it's what happened. -- Tom
