Answer Wiki:
Is the server service running? ------------------------------------- In network connections, open the status window for your local area connection. Click on Properties. Make sure File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Network is checked. Click OK. Right click on the folder you want to share. Click on properties. Click on the Sharing Tab. Click on Share this folder. Click on Apply. Let us know if there is an error or what part of the process you are having a problem.

Second option that you can check
> Start
> Settings
> Control Panel
> Folder Option
> In folder option go to the View tab
> Now in Advanced settings option uncheck the option “use simple file sharing (recommended)
> Apply and Ok.
