Hello,

Lirria left out one important item…..you need to share the printer on your machine first before you’ll be able to publish it. Right-click the printer, select properties and select the sharing tab.

I concur. But if you are not on a domain and still have problems, insure the userid from the requesting PC is a valid user on the PC that is sharing the printer.

You will need your computer name (or IP address). Once you have that – go to her computer, select start, run and type in: computername or xx.xx.xx.xx (where x is the ip address of your computer)

It will then open window up and you should see the printer there – simply double click on the printer (or right click and select connect) and it should install it. Once installed I would do a test print to make sure that it’s working. Also don’t forget that your computer has to be on for her to print there (oft forgotten when people go on vacations)

Please note that if you are running a different OS then she is you will need to make sure the drivers for that OS are installed.
