sharing a folder vista laptop and xp pc

Dear All, I have a laptop which i want to share with our office pc which has windows xp professional v.2002 sp2 
the laptop has vista home premium sp2. 
when i connect the lan cable to the laptop, i am able to see the pc's but not able to browse or transfer files. i intend taking a backup of my laptop data  about 120gb on to the xp pc's.

    thanks for the reply. however when i try to access the vista laptop from the xp machine. i am not able to browse the folders inside vista. please note : i am able to see the vista machine on in the network>work group of all xp machines.
