Sharepoint Slowdown
Microsoft SharePoint, SharePoint 2007, SharePoint Error 5555, SharePoint Error 7888, SharePoint errors
Monday my developer came to me and said that uploading infopath forms was very slow. I went through my logs and noticed my daily backup's were taking far longer than usual.
I've found 2 errors in the event log. They are errors 5555 and 7888. Both seem to be related and point to a database issue. I went back through the logs and they were happening in December. So the server was fine for months with these errors popping up every hour.
Any suggestions?

Are you trying to sync data between to SSPs?
If so this <a href="http://mossytips.blogspot.com/2008/10/error-event-id-5555-event-id-7888-after.html">blog post</a> seams to apply.
It's always good to post the actual error message, not just the error numbers. There are tens of thousands of error messages and no noe has them all memorized.
