SFL Conditioning

I have a subfile data entry screen where a user needs to enter data into several fields. There is a subroutine that checks for both entry and valid data for each field. Indicators are supposed to color, position the cursor and reverse the specific field if the field does not pass verification yet when testing, I receive the error via my msgsfl but the cursor goes to the first input field, not the one with the error and the field does not reverse or color! What am I missing?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

The first input-capable field in the subfile record may have a DSPATR(PC) which is not conditioned, or the conditioning indicator may be on for that field.

A common problem with subfiles is that the subfile control record does not contain SFLRCDNBR(*CURSOR), and the program does not set the subfile RRN field = the RRN of the first subfile record in error.

So, a few things to check; and if you have no joy, ask again giving more details.

Thanks for the help and sorry for the delay in responding. I thought that just checking "Email me updates on this question" would alert me to someone else's response. Apparently, I also need to press the Subscribe button. Anyway... I tried adding an UPDAT SFL after any operation that would cause the SFL to redisplay and that solved the problem.

Yes, that would do it! I sort of assumed you were updating the subfile record anyway.... :-) Sloopy
