It’s almost guaranteed that if you’re going to do this for a home system, you’ll never want anything like Windows Explorer coming in from outside. (Even more so if this was a business system.) You will only want the specific allowed connection protocol.
 
As for, not ‘online’, Explorer access should work.
 
Now, if you absolutely want it to work as you describe, it’s not going to be cheap. Any help you get will be professional and probably involve professional rates. (Unless you’re not worried about having your entire home network, and potentially everyone’s network that connects to yours, open to the world without your knowledge.)
