 Setting a Network Printer to a Print Server, CRTDEVPRT
AS/400
Hi,I need to CRTDEVPRT a network printer in AS/400. This *LAN printer is connected to a Server and I don't wish to vary on the device all the time so I need to create a permanent on device everytime the AS/400 subsystem is up.I managed to create one device description but somehow everytime after I print 1 spoolfile out, the device is locked (*EXCLRD) and the printer light will keep on flashing. Can someone help me with this problem? Will be very appreciate it. Thank you.

I would suggest that you goto the IBM website and start looking for your printer information. Creating/setting up printers on the AS400 can become tricky if you don't provide the right information. What is the make and model of your printer?
