Set default email account to POP3 not server using SBS2003
my client computers are using Outlook 2003. I need all mail to be sent to my outside email hosting company. I also need to keep my internal exchange to keep running. When users log on, outlook sets to server as the default account. How can I make the POP3 the default account?

Answer Wiki:
If you want to make your Outlook clients use POP3 accounts as the default account, open Outlook > Tools menu > Email Accounts > click next to get the list of mail accounts, hightlight the POP3 account that you want to make it the default then click "Set Default"

I have done that and it will stick (ie set pop3 as default) but when I reboot the client it reverts back to the server as default.
How do I make it stay with the pop3 as default either with a program or thru user profile.

Ok this is wired,

Try this, create a new profile, and add an exchange account to it and any dummy POP3 account to it and see if its doing the same thing or not.
