 Server Addition
I have currently 2 servers running - SBS 2003 and Server 2003, my SBS Server does not have sufficient resources to run Terminal Services and want to add a 3rd server. What Server edition can I choose to migrate with SBS and utilise the Terminal Services on the new server? The specs for the new server are: Dual Xeon CPU, 4 GB RAM, Raid 5, 4X 250Gig SATA drives. The SBS 2003 server is currently: Single CPU, 1 GB RAM, 120GB (Mirrored), this server currently runs active directory, Exchange, and ISA, I must add it is not an option to simply upgrade this server Any ideas appreciated

Answer Wiki:
SBS cannot be used as a terminal server anyways. A 2003 member server with the specs you noted will work fine on your network. How many users do you anticipate concurrently using the TS? Do you need 750GB of storage with the RAID you have quoted? The second server you currently have, what roles does it serve? Depending on this, its hardware, and the user count it may be an option to use as a terminal server. 1GB of RAM, BTW, is pretty low for a SBS Premium server, another Gig of RAM will help performance depending on load. Hi Kwoolsey

The second server I have is a dual Xeon 2.4 Ghz with 2 Gb RAM.

The intended usage consists of approx 50 users (due to expand to 200 or more if this venture works out for us).

As for SBS not running TS then I am confused as we are already running it via the SBS server.

Would I need to replicate active directory and setup roaming prifiles? if I used my second server for TS as clients require to login and check their exchange mailboxes.

Any advice appreciated.
