Server 2008 domain or workgroup?
Someone set up a server for us as a domain without asking anyone when all we need is a workgroup. What kind of problems could we run into if we demote the server to a workgroup? It if is okay to do, how is it done?

You won't run into any problems, but you won't have the domain based authentication that you have now.
To remove active directory on the server click start, run then type in "dcpromo.exe" and click ok. This will run you through a wizard which allow you to remove active directory and the Windows domain from the server.
