Server 2003 STD R2 to ENT R2 setup error
Trying to upgrade Windows Server 2003 Standard R2 to Windows Server 2003 enterprise R2 and get an error when I select upgrade. "Setup cannot continue because some necessary information cannot be accessed in the registry." "An I/O operation initiated by the registry failed unrecoverably. The registry could not read in, or write out, or flush, one of the files that contain the system's image of the registry" I login as the domain Admin ( this is a secondary domain controller ) and even tried copying all of the file to disk and install from their.

Answer Wiki:
Symantec Antivirus Corporate causes this error on Windows Server 2003 Standard SP2. Tried all solutions, I googled, but same error again after rebooting. Uninstalling with NoNav and rebooting solved it.
