 Windows server 2003 file server configuration
i have server 2003 install in acomputer.i will like to install a file or an application on the server, which could be access by the other workstation connected on the network.please what is the procedure on the server and the workstation to accomplish this tax.i mean how will i configure both the server and the workstation.
please i need an urgent reply.

The easiest way to to share something on the server with a host device to is to enable file sharing for that folder/item. Then you add the security and acces groups/users to that folder/item. On the host, you can navigate to the share on the server either through windows explorer or map a drive to the shared folder...

and if you run on 2003, you can even do the file management and set the size of the folder that you are sharing so that it wont burst your hdd level..for example ur hdd is 200gb, then you set it to have 150gb to store all your files and etc…
