Sending to external email address in Lotus Notes
Hi, is there anyone of you knows how to send an individual email notice once the user send a message to external address? We were currently blocking our user to sends unnecessary email to unrecognized email domain other than our company's domain. Please help. Thanks!

You can do it the tough way by removing the Internet address from the user's document for these suspecious users and add a " Server Rule" to stop any email from going out of the SMTP server if there is no " Internet Address".
If you are using an External SMTP Gateway (Like : Symantec BM , IMSS of Trend Micro etc.) you can make a rule to restrict mail sending outside for your domain and also can get back ack mail. check this out ..

What I did was I created a DenyXMail group for our users we wish to block the external address then include them to the Deny messages from the following notes address in SMTP outbound controls under server configuration. It’s working though.
Thanks EmNichs for giving me additional info in regard to this matter. Though we have already solved this issue, will look forward to use this soon..
