When i type up an email and push send, it does not send the email until i have logged out of MS Outlook, then go back in and push send & receive. What do i need to do to get it to send straight away without having to go out of my emails and back in again?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You don’t mention what version of Outlook you are using, but in Outlook 2003 you can get to the settings by selecting Tools —> Options —> Mail Setup and then go into the Send/Recive button for more (such as automatic Send/Receive frequency).

send only puts it in your outbox.  send and receive actually does the sending of items in your outbox.  if you look through the properties, you can set it to send immediately
