Before anything else, never forget that "SNDDST does not send 'e-mail'. It sends distributions." 'E-mail' is commonly expected to refer to SMTP. SNDDST does not do SMTP -- the SMTP server does SMTP. Beyond SNDDST, in order for a distribution to become an 'e-mail', it must be transferred over to the SMTP server. Usually, this is done through a particular configuration setup and through a combination SNA/DS and the Mail Server Framework. SNA/DS is usually handled through the QSNADS subsystem. If QSNADS iisn't active, use STRSBS to start it. The Mail Server Framework is started with the STRMSF command. ...getting "Send distribution completed successfully"message... That implies that you have an appropriate recipient specified and that at least basic SNA/DS configuration was done. The SNDDST command was able to recognize your request and to place it into perhaps the appropriate distribution queue. You can use the WRKDSTQ to see status info about distribution queues. The DSPDSTSRV command can give viewing access to basic distribution services and some configuration elements. The DSPDSTLOG command can help track progress of distributions through the SNA part of the process. Tom
