Further, break messages won&#039;t provide a decent log to show that they were actually received. You&#039;re better off sending a *COMP completion message.

If you absolutely positively &lt;b&gt;must&lt;/b&gt; display a message (and from your description, you don&#039;t need to), call the QUILNGTX API.

I used a break message in the end - just because it stays on the workstation so the user has to respond to clear it, and, I assume, will have at least had the chance to read it. So no excuses from the users!
