what would be the journal entries code in DSPJRN for update/delete and changes Use journal code 'R'. Those indicate 'R'ecord operations. Operations such as opens/closes should be under code 'F' for 'F'ile operations. Or instead of using a journal code, use a journal entry type of *RCD. That limits the entries to "record" entries. The DSPJRN help text tells you this. The default for the DSPJRN command is already set the way you requested. You shouldn't have to specify code nor entry type. It should be faster to read the help text than to post questions on a forum and then wait for an appropriate response. Tom
