Found this on the web. In response to:''Unable to display the user selection dialog (null)'' when adding users to shares Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at 9:08 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by pmf group (1 messages posted) please check your riched32.dll file in system32 directory. it must be 3.5KB and you can copy from original xp cd-rom. try and enjoy!

You may also want to run a virus scan. The nimda virus will change that .dll. See http://lists.jammed.com/crime/2001/09/0055.html for more details.

Hi Even though the file is reporting as being the correct size, it is probably well worth replacing it by one idealy from a windows XP installation with the same servie pack, and deleting the one in DLL cache beforehand, probably need to run XP in safe mode.
